Welcome to Willow Ridge, Missouri! In this cozy Amish town along the banks of the river, the Old Ways are celebrated at the Sweet Seasons Bakery Café, and love is a gift God gives with grace. . .
Summer Of Secrets
Summer has come to Willow Ridge, but Rachel Lantz is looking forward to a whole new season in her life--marriage to strapping carpenter Micah Brenneman, her childhood sweetheart. When a strange Englischer arrives in the café claiming to be the long-lost sister of Rachel and her twin Rhoda, Rachel feels the sturdy foundation of her future crumbling--including Micah's steadfast love. As the days heat up and tempers flare, Rachel and Micah will learn that even when God's plan isn't clear, it will always lead them back to each other. . .
"A heartwarming new voice for fans of Beverly Lewis." --Emma Miller

Goodreads Summary

Rachel is the main character of this novel and very easy to like.  She is sweet, kind, and caring.  She also lives in an Amish community and carries out their values.  Rachel married her childhood sweetheart, Micah, at a young age and used to feel secure in her marriage.  When a stranger comes to her community, the stranger interrupts everything Rachel knew about her life and past.

When the stranger doesn't leave, Rachel has many decisions to make.  Those decisions lead to strife in her marriage life and confusion in her heart.  Micah is a character the reader will like.  He remains stable and brave for Rachel, even in their little tiffs.  The reader will love getting to know all of the characters in this novel.  The author does a wonderful job connecting the reader to the characters.  The secondary characters may appear to play small parts, but they have a large impact on the book.

The events are well-played out.  The author ties up all loose ends and the reader will put the book down feeling satisfied.  The characters will be hard to forget after placing the book down, the overall Amish environment is very richly described.  This book is great for adult readers.
